Build the environment you love and meet people who inspire you to supercharge your own success
What is the lifestyle you want in your own life?
People confuse driving fancy cars, jetsetting and high society living with lifestyle while it is actually a very personal term to describe the setup you want for your own life.
Personally I like to travel, experience different cultures and challenges but most of the time when I am away I miss the place I call home and my things. Sometimes people think they need millions to be happy and satisfied in life but is this true?

I lost my job three times during my career.
The first time I was fired was after 9/11 2001 when the economy went down. I was working parttime as a programmer for a financial service provider and the management decided to fire part-time workers for economic reasons.
They changed their mind and I had the chance to stay until I decided to quit after 2 more years.
The second time I lost my job was in 2008 in the middle of the financial crisis when I was working as a Management Support for a private bank here in Switzerland. The Management Support positions had been canceled and I was asked to work in another department so I quit.
The third time I lost my job I was working for a small IT service provider. I kept working on projects as a freelancer while the CEO left the company to build his own company in the same sector and overtaking most of the clients. The company was then split apart and sold to 2 different companies while I kept working as a freelancer for both of them, maintaining my clients as a consultant.
This was a very stressful time and together with my marriage problems, my health went down the road.
For me, lifestyle is first of all liberty, to live and work where and when I want!
I was married to a dancer and my ex-wife worked from 6 pm to 11 pm during the week and most of the weekends. If I would have had a normal job, working from 9 am to 5 pm during the week we would not have had a chance to meet.
Some years ago I did not see any other solution than working part-time to solve at least part of this problem. We then wanted to have our own family but had no idea how to handle the challenges of finance and time planning.
Working on my documentaries and projects was still a challenge and I missed out on my dreams of traveling to places I wanted to visit.
There are other issues in a normal work life. For example, fighting your way through the traffic in the city during rush hours.
Personally, I prefer working from home where I have all my tools and systems in place. I like to cook as I am no big fan of eating in restaurants all days.
I want to have the possibility to take time off in case of special occasions, like if a family member becomes sick, and I don’t want to ask for permission to be absent from work.
How would you organize all these requirements in a classical work environment of a permanent employment?
